Grand Forks Spring Cleaning Guide

Spring in Grand Forks brings a sense of renewal, inviting us to refresh our spaces and let go of things that no longer serve us. It is an opportunity to be intentional about what brings you joy and what might be more useful to someone else. Giving back during your spring clean out not only declutters your home but can also strengthen the community around you. My intention with this article is to share a few reliable places in Grand Forks where your spring clean out can have a meaningful impact.

Spring Cleaning in Grand Forks: CVIC

The Community Violence Intervention Center (CVIC) in Grand Forks is always in need of essential items including daily necessities and baby supplies. Some examples of items that can support someone in need include unused body wash, lotion, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, and conditioner. Baby supplies such as extra baby wipes, pull-ups, and diapers are also highly appreciated. Other helpful items include hand towels, bath towels, and washcloths. Including items like this but not limited to, can make an extraordinarily meaningful impact on someone’s life this spring!

Spring Cleaning in Grand Forks: Salvation Army

Donating to the Salvation Army can bring relief and extra joy for individuals in need of gently loved clothing or nourishing food. Food donations at the Salvation Army are especially impactful. Nonperishable items like canned soups, fruits, and vegetables are a fantastic way to get started. Staples like pasta, rice, beans and peanut butter are also incredibly valuable.

Before donating food items be sure to check the “best buy” date or expiration date to make sure every item is safe to enjoy. Whether big or small, every item you donate has the potential to create change for someone in need!
