Mindful Sipping: The Best Mocktails in Grand Forks

As people become more health conscious, the demand for mocktails – non-alcoholic drinks with the flavor and sophistication of cocktails – is on the rise. The popularity of mocktails has grown significantly in recent years, and with it has come a whole new range of creative and exciting mocktail recipes. From simple blends of fresh fruit juices to more elaborate creations topped with homemade syrups and garnishes, mocktails provide a great alternative to alcoholic drinks. Not only do they provide a delicious, refreshing beverage, but they also offer a healthier option for those looking to reduce their alcohol consumption. With mocktails, you can enjoy the satisfying taste of a well-crafted drink without the added effects of alcohol. Over the past few months, I’ve taken it upon myself to go out with friends and sample the best mocktails in Grand Forks.

Grand Forks Mocktails: Matcha, Sunshine Daydreams, and Secret Garden at Harry’s Steakhouse

First on my list was Harry’s Steakhouse, renowned for its fine dining and, now, its fantastic mocktails. My first order was the Matcha, a harmonious blend of tartness and warmth accented by an intriguing touch of basil. I then tried the Sunshine, a refreshing concoction so vibrant with lemonade and fruity undertones that it felt like sipping on a surprise summer party. The crowning glory was undoubtedly the award-winning Secret Garden – like its name suggests, this drink was a garden full of flavor – juicy, light, and refreshing with a fruitiness that packs a punch (thanks to the jalapeno agave syrup).

If a summer sip is what you crave, the Toasted Frog is the place to be. Their Strawberry Almond and Salted Watermelon mocktails were delightful coolers on a warm day. I sat outside on the patio sipping these mocktails, and the vibe was glorious. The Strawberry Almond was sweet and bubbly, while the Salted Watermelon offered the tantalizing twist of an unexpected dash of chili.

Our next stop was the local gem Ely’s Ivy, where I chose the signature Honey B mocktail. The Honey B was an invigorating burst of freshness, making it an ideal companion for any summer gathering.

Grand Forks Mocktails: N/A’ope and No Mosa at Half Brothers Brewing Co

Finally, at Half Brothers, I appreciated their innovative approach to non-alcoholic beer with their N/A’ope golden ale. This guava-infused drink was refreshingly flavorful and satisfying. Also offered was the No Mosa, a non-alcoholic sour – a tangy, slightly sweet treat with a burst of citrusy flavor. Half Brothers offers non-drinkers an exciting chance to enjoy exceptional craft beer without alcohol.

Overall, Grand Forks has a thriving mocktail scene that caters to all tastes. With each venue showcasing its unique spin, there’s a tasty non-alcoholic beverage for everyone.
