In Grand Forks during the winter it can be hard to find places to take you and your dog to have fun, but it certainly doesn’t mean you have to press paws on the fun for your furry friend. Whether your dog lives for zoomies in fresh snow or prefers a scenic stroll with extra sniffs, I’ve rounded up the best wintertime adventures to keep the fun going all the way to spring! Some popular places to go are the Greenway, Bully Brew, and Lincoln’s dog park!

Pet-friendly Places in Grand Forks: The Greenway

The Greenway is one of the best place in Grand Forks to take your dog. It’s a winter wonderland for dogs and their humans alike. It offers beautiful scenery and plenty of space for your pup to stretch their legs. It’s great exercise for everyone involved! Even during the winter it is a very cool place to walk the doggies in your spare time. A fun fact about the Greenway is that it is so long that it is larger than New York Central Park. So, your dog has no shortage  of extra space to run around!

Pet-friendly Places in Grand Forks: Lincoln Park

One of the nicest parks to bring your doggie is Lincoln Park. The park has separate areas for your dog based on their size. Lincoln Park is a natural oasis within the city, with wildlife always around in the there, your dog will love all the new smells. With its wide open spaces, scenic paths, and peaceful surroundings, it’s an ideal space for snowy walks, fresh-air breaks, and letting your pup explore.

Pet-friendly Places in Grand Forks: Turtle River

Of course, another great spot not far outside of town it Turtle River State Park. Here you can grab your snowshoes and make the most of the peaceful scenery in these winter months. Your doggo will love the change up into a state park and the terrain is much less flat out there as well!

University Park is a great option for getting fresh air in a wide-open space. Right near UND campus, it is just as lovely and serene in the winter season as during the summer months. They have walk paths around the park, but you can also meander through the wooded area on your own as well for a more enriching experience for your pup.

Pet-friendly Places in Grand Forks: Bully Brew

If your winter walk calls for a caffeine stop, Bully Brew is a great place to take your dog for a break from the cool weather. It’s a dog friendly cafe that offers delicious snacks for puppy dogs. One of their popular puppy treats is called “The Scrooge.” It is  cinnamon bread that tastes like a holiday morning! With multiple locations around Grand Forks and East Grand Forks, this business is welcome to all – four legged or not. Bully Brew also has pup cups that your puppy can enjoy during a car ride.
